Great Ocean Walk 10TH - 14TH of March 2022

Hiked are proud to announce the Great Ocean Walk Experience.

Join us for a 5 day walk along Australia’s most famous coastline on the 10th March - 14th March 2022..

Enjoy immersion into nature, while camping under the stars and hiking along the coast without the challenge of full packs on this fully supported journey.

Day 1: Meet at agreed locations and enjoy coffee and pastry in the bus to enjoy the journey to the Great Ocean Road. Tonight, will be your first night sleeping under the stars, while you relax under the milky way, unwind from the city stress and enjoy a comfy night at Blanket Bay we will be preparing a homecooked meal and cheeseplatter and wine.

Day 2: After a hearty and fresh breakfast, you will be dropped off in Apollo Bay to hike 20kms to Blanket Bay where you will then be driven to Aire River Camping Grounds. On arrival you will find your tents will have been already set up to allow you to settle into another relaxing evening. Today is also the day for Koala spotting!

Day 3: After a hearty and fresh breakfast, you will be dropped at Blanket Bay to then start the 11km hike to the iconic Cape Otway lighthouse where on arrival we will enjoy a tour of the area and then head back to Aire River Camping Grounds. You will have plenty of time to relax and enjoy a cooked meal and enjoyable an evening under the stars.

Day 4: Today our walk along the coast is a comfortable 10kms where we can take our time along the way to explore the coves, cliffs and a small detour to rainbow falls, before arriving back at Aire River with plenty of time to explore the area and settle in for another tranquil evening while your guides look after the evening meal.

Day 5: Today we walk to Johanna beach, a 14km walk experiencing the wild and rugged coastline and heath land, breath-taking views and a true feeling of wildness awaits. You will be picked up at Johanna beach to head back to your pickup location.

Your professional and qualified Hiked leaders will share the wonders of the walk along the way.

Ability: Moderate level of fitness, comfortable with uneven terrain, capable of carrying a day pack and walking for 3-5 hours per day, 4 consequative days.

Please note that if the weather does not enable us to hike we will change the itinerary to include a drive into Appollo Bay for a pub lunch and stop off at 3 spectacular walks.
