The Food Essentials on a Hike
Food is crucial to maintaining energy and stamina during a hike.
Some food essentials to consider packing include:
-

Energy bars

Dehydrated meals
-
Fresh fruits (e.g., apples, oranges)

Nut butter or peanut butter sandwiches

How Much Water Is Enough on a Hike?
A general rule of thumb is to drink about half a liter (17 ounces) of water per hour of moderate activity during moderate weather conditions. However, the amount of water needed can vary depending on factors like temperature, humidity, exertion level, and individual hydration needs. It's essential to carry more water than you think you'll need and stay hydrated throughout your hike. Consider using a hydration system or water bottles.
