HUMANTAY LARES / AREQUIPA PERU

At 5:00pm, all adventurers will be greeted at the airport and then taken directly to the accommodation in Lima. After dinner, the night is free time.

In the early morning you have breakfast at the Hotel and then will be transferred to the bus terminal in the city center of Lima, from where you take the Cruz del Sur bus service from Lima to Arequipa around 7:00am.

Upon arrival to Arequipa around 1:00am, you will get picked up from the bus station and be transferred to the Hotel. After having a good night’s sleep and breakfast at the Hotel, you will have the whole day free to explore the “White City” with the help and advice of your Tour leader Leo.

This day starts with having breakfast at the Hotel, and then visiting the project around Arequipa. Dinner will take place after returning to Arequipa in the night.

Colca Valley tour is a 4-hour bus ride through beautiful Colca Valley. Observe the famous Vicuñas as well as all of the three great volcanoes of Arequipa. Highest point will be "Pata Pampa" at 4820 meters, from where we can observe the volcanoes Ampato, Sabancaya and Misti. Visitors can observe the majestic flight of the Condors and take a guided walk near the Canyon.

Make a stop at the "Laguna de Langui", a magnificent natural mirror with a length of 25 Km. Drive through Andahuaylillas and Urcos, arriving in Cusco around 4:00pm.

You will be amazed by the impressive Temple of the Sun with its intricate stone worked details. Afterwards, you will visit a weaving family who still use natural minerals and organic ink to colour wool.

On the first day of your adventure we pick you up from your hotel and then leave Cusco approximately between 04:30 am and 05:00 am. We will have great panoramic views of the Valley of the Apurimac River and of the majestic Salkantay Mountain.

Llama trekkers will get engaged with these cute animals and their breeders, and have a great insight into the life far away from civilization. Hiking through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, you will see many changes of the flora, according to the different climates.

The Andes are one of the most beautiful natural wonders in South America. From here you will have a stunning view over the Lares Valley and the surrounding snow peaks. Take a first sight of the Ipsaycocha Lagoon and the Patacancha Valley as well.

On day three of your trip to Machu Picchu, visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After a full day's hike and adventure, we will take a transport to Ollantaytambo (the last living Inca town) from where we take our train to Aguas Calientes.

To ensure you are among the first visitors to Machu Picchu, you have to wake up at 05:30 am. The guided tour will visit the Main Square, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Sun Dial and the Burial Grounds. Due Huayna Picchu is very fast oversold, we offer a second option - a hike up the mountain instead.

After arriving in Cusco, you will get transferred to the airport in the morning and then take a plane to Lima. Enjoy some free time before/after your flight, and get some rest at the Hotel after having dinner.

Today is a relaxing day before we make our trip back home. Breakfast is included at the hotel and free time is provided to guests in the morning for whatever may take their fancy. Some will like to take the opportunity for some last minute shopping.
